Daniel Ellsberg was born on 7 April,1931. In Chicago, Illinois. His father Harry and mother Adele (Charsky) Ellsberg, Ashkenazi Jews who had converted to Christian Science. Ellsberg grew up in Detroit and studyed in the Cranbrook School in nearby Bloomfield Hills.

Childhood

Ellsberg was a bright and inquisitive child. He excelnt in school and he  was  interested in math and science. He also developed a strong interest in politics and government.

Education

Ellsberg attended Harvard University, where he 
completed graduated degree in economics in 1952. He then join in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957. After his military services. He comeback in Harvard and earned a Ph.D. in economics in 1962.

Lifestyle

Ellsberg was a complex and contradictory figure. He was brilliant and idealistic person, he believed it was possible to change the world., but he could also be impulsive and reckless. He was a loving husband , but he was also a committed active person who was willing to put his own freedom at risk for his beliefs.

Ellsberg lived in a variety of places throughout his life. He grow up in Detroit, and attended college in Cambridge.
After graduating from Harvard, he moved to California, where he worked as a strategic analyst for the The RAND Corporation (from the phrase "research and development"). In 1971, he write the Pentagon Papers to The New York Times and  in The Washington Post, and he was forced to go into hiding. He eventually settled in Berkeley, California. Where he spend his enter life until his death in 2023.

Death

Ellsberg was died on June 16, 2023.at the age of 92.

Ellsberg is remembered as a complex and controversial figure.
He was a brilliant and intelligent analyst who give a significant contribution to American history. He was also a courageous activist who risked his own freedom to expose government lies. His life legacy is still protected today, but there is no doubt that he was a man who made a difference.
